Airport Services

Brisbane Airport is located 13km from Brisbane Central Business District.

Airport Coach Services

Brisbane city service between CBD and Brisbane Airport - every 45min 5am to 8.45pm and 9.40pm to10.50pm. Depart from Roma Street Brisbane Transit Centre. Cost is approximately $7.50 one way.

Gold Coast Service – daily – hourly via the Gateway Bridge. Cost is approximately $30 one-way.

Sunshine Coast Service – daily every two hours from 6.10am to 6.30pm. Prices vary.

Coach services between the Domestic and International terminals is every 10min in the morning and every 20 minutes in the afternoon/evening. If you are an airline ticket holder the fare is free.

Taxi services at the Domestic Airport are at both Ansett and Qantas terminals and level two of the International terminal. Fares vary into the city but are approximately $20 - $25.

Bus Services

Brisbane Transport operates one of the most extensive and modern bus services in Australia. All new buses are wheelchair accessible with ultra low floors and are air-conditioned providing carefree and comfortable travel for everyone.


There are buses for everyone in Brisbane, whether you are going long or short distances. Buses cross all sectors of the city from the north to the south, from the Bay to the Bridge.

Fares

Fares are calculated on the number of zones you cross on your trip. Your driver can explain how many zones you will cross when you board your bus.

Types of Bus Services in the Brisbane Region:

CityXpress

Gets you there fast. CityXpress is an express service from limited stops in the suburbs to the city. Depending on the time of year these services generally run every half hour but do increase at busier times of the year.

Rockets

Gets you there even faster. Rockets operate in peak hours. With limited stops in the suburbs and selected inner city stops. Will get you where you want to be very quickly.

CityBus

Makes all stops throughout the city and suburbs.

City Circle

Takes you to the shops, cafes businesses, etc. in and around the inner city area. Buses pass the distinctive blue and white stops approximately every five minutes Monday to Friday (during the day only)

Great Circle

Gets you across town every half hour Monday to Saturday.

Community Buses
(Hail and Ride/Dial and Ride)

Hail a ride and get where you need to go. Simply hail but be sure it is safe - watch for traffic.

Rail Services

Citytrain and Queensland Rail

Citytrain is Brisbane’s suburban rail provider covering areas from Gympie to the Gold Coast. Citytrain is a great way to get around without any worry. Trains run frequently to all areas, providing passengers with air-conditioned comfort.
Queensland Rail provides services to most Queensland regions including Cairns and the Whitsundays so once you have visited Brisbane you can venture on to other parts of this beautiful state.
