Gold Coast Transport

Air

The Gold Coast is serviced by Domestic and International Flights to Coolangatta Airport. The distance from the Coolangatta Airport to Surfers Paradise is quite substantial (approximately 20kms) as can be seen on our Map. Buses are available at each Airline. Prices are from $16.00 one way.

International Flights also arrive in Brisbane at our new International Terminal (some 80kms from the Gold Coast). Shuttle Buses are available to the heart of the Gold Coast. The price is from $44.00 one way and $80.00 return.

Light aircraft and helicopters are available for hire at the Gold Coast Airport.

Long Distance Coaches

Coach travellers are well catered for with the Surfer's Paradise Bus Transit Centre (bottom of Beach Road) handling 200 coaches a day. The station has modern facilities and a cafeteria.

Gold Coast - Brisbane Buses

Coachtrans buses (ph 1300 664 700) are available from the Bus Transit Centre, and depart at 9.15am, 3.15pm and 5.00pm.

Buses around the Gold Coast

Most public commuting on the Coast is by Bus. Timetables are available through Surfside Buslines (ph 131230) which offer a 24 hour service along the highway. Look for the stops at 300 metre intervals.

Road Conditions Gold Coast to Brisbane

Rail

The Robina to Brisbane train service is available. The estimated travelling time is 63 minutes from Robina. Trains run from approximately 5am till midnight. Buses connect at Robina, Nerang and Helensvale to service the whole coastal strip.

Secured and unsecured parking is available.

Monorail

A Monorail runs from The Oasis Shopping Centre to The Casino at Broadbeach.

Taxis and Limousines

Taxis and Limousines are available all over the Gold Coast and if necessary even Water Taxis are available

Pedicab

This service operates around Surfers Paradise mainly, it is inexpensive and good fun.
